Ice cream has always been an indulgence. Since childhood, we have been enjoying its wide variety of flavors, as it ensures delight to different kinds of people around the world. After years of eating ice cream, from chocolate truffles, mango, to mint, it was only just a few days ago when my tongue feasted upon a different kind of ice cream—gelato.
Gelato is a variant of ice cream that hails from Italy. Unlike the regular ice cream we know, gelato omits eggs from its ingredient list, allowing it to have a denser consistency. Luckily enough, this Italian ice cream is not that far from my home; in fact, a Japanese bread shop, sweetshop, and café named Dezaato Pan sells not only gelato, but also very colorful cakes and the like.
Upon arriving at the shop, I ordered a cup of White Chocolate Gelato with Nutella (~Php 55.00). As I took my first scoop of the gelato, I felt the very fine consistency of the product. Moreover, having 55% less air in it made it denser like what I have said, and you can really notice it as you scoop portion by portion. The taste was like no other; thick, creamy, white chocolate melted on my tongue, and biting it was akin to chewing cold and smooth marshmallows slowly melting in my mouth.
That was basically it; my money was well spent on a portion of fine gelato. Dezaato Pan boasts on catering small indulgences that provide great experiences, which is true as far as I am concerned.
Dezaato Pan could be found at Sgt. Alcaraz corner Banawe, Quezon City (743 98 56), and at Tomas Morato corner Roces Avenue (332 18 45)

Now, I'm really craving for ice cream again!
Me too! Let's pig out on ice cream! :)
the word pig disturbs me in that sentence. ^ dunno why tho. :P
Interesting, simple, and gets to the point. I like it. :) Albeit a very Xavier introduction. hahahahaha, still, interesting. I'd like to try out this place. And if it's GELATO at 55php, that's cheap, and it sounds good. :)
his blog is interesting too. Kind of like yours but for music. Interesting.
KEEP IT UP! HOPE TO SEE MORE FROM TPF! :D
Sorry about that, Martin. I meant no offense to pigs or any living thing. Haha. And yes, thanks for checking us out! :)
